Solution: City or County Utilities/ Water Departments can subsidize the purchase of plug & play solar panels. Water is free. Water Departments build and maintain an infrastructure that bring water into our homes
Sunbeams are free - Water Departments can obtain plug and play solar panels (see technical requirements - $500.00-$1000.00) from manufacturers to distribute to homeowners who do not want to or cannot afford to purchase rooftop solar panels (cost is $15,000 - $30,000).
How this works: A Sunbeam Plug & Play Solar Panel fee of $5.00 is added to your bimonthly (once every two months) water bill. The Water Department would constantly work with vendors to upgrade/improve panels to enable energy autonomy, ensure UL certified, distribute, recycle, replace (if damaged, inefficient, no longer needed, upgraded) plug and play solar panels. Any resident of that area may fill out an online form and receive a pickup notice. Also, persons may come to a designated facility during certain hours.
